Last Friday, Feb. 21, the Alva Chamber of Commerce held the monthly community coffee and legislative update at Fechner Pump and Supply. Both Rep. Carl Newton and Sen. Casey Murdock were present to give reports.

Dr. Newton said the legislators had been busy in committee meetings to decide which bills would be heard on the floor. He reported the constitutional carry bill did not make it out of committee.
