Alva American Legion Post 92 hosts district convention

American Legion Post 92 hosted the legion district convention in Alva on Saturday at the Share Annex at the Cherokee Strip Museum. Royce Bender of Alva was honored with an award by Charley O'Leary, vice commander, for 60 years membership in the American Legion.

After the business meeting the members gathered around the flagpole at the Cherokee Strip Museum where Ron Gott, state commander, presented the museum with a new American Flag and retired the old flag which was then presented to Don Lynch, board president of the museum.
