Cherokee School Board being proactive about student wellness

The board voted to change the school calendar to make March 27 and April 3, both Fridays, as days out of school. “Last year I was very conservative with how many days out of school I included,” said Superintendent Donna Anderson. “We aren't out anywhere near the number of days we could have been. We needed it because of weather. Well, this year we haven't needed it as much for weather.”
