First Presbyterian youth continue work on city pool

Once again, the First Presbyterian Church of Alva Youth Group gave freely of its time to improve the community. On Thursday, March 12, several members of the youth group and their youth director, Greg Smith, volunteered their time and energy at the Alva City Pool. Their tools of choice for this day were brooms, shovels and scrapers.

Despite this being labor-intensive work, these young people did not shy away from the hard work. All their efforts, and the efforts of numerous other volunteers will help get the pool prepped in order to make repairs and get the pool up and running this summer.
