Woods County courthouse is closed

The Woods County commissioners held two emergency meetings on Wednesday and Thursday to determine how they will handle the COVID-19 pandemic. They expressed concern for county employees and discussed ways to keep them healthy while continuing the county business.

The Wednesday meeting was held in the courtroom of the courthouse. Several elected officials attended. The commissioners wanted to show a video from the city council meeting in Burleson, Texas, held March 14. At that meeting, a representative from the CDC explained the pandemic and answered questions.
