St. Patrick's Pizza Party brings a pot of gold for Kansas Honor Flight

The Sunday before St. Patrick's Day was a fun one in Hardtner, Kansas. The restaurant Yur Place buzzed with excitement as members of the Kansas Honor Flight became pizza makers in an assembly-line fashion. Volunteers browned hamburger, dotted pepperoni slices and sauce on VAP crusts for a mouthwatering creation. Local and area veterans all got in on the fun while visiting.
Through it all, owner Syd Sterling was in charge and bent up and down countless times taking pizzas in and out of her ovens while keeping the volunteers organized.
