Family members with coronavirus should be isolated at home

STILLWATER, Okla. – As the number of cases of COVID-19 continues to rise across the state, people must educate themselves about the symptoms and how to prevent the virus’ spread in their own homes, said Gina Peek, Oklahoma State University Extension housing and consumer specialist.

“If someone in your household becomes ill with the coronavirus, it’s important to keep that person isolated and away from other people and pets in the house as much as possible for the duration of the illness.” Peek said. “If available, a separate bathroom should be used.”
