A Ponca City man died Thursday in a Grant County collision. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports Randy Lee Byrum, 53, of Ponca City, was pronounced dead at the scene from whole body injuries by Pond Creek Ambulance personnel.

The collision occurred at 10:34 a.m. on US-81 at Garvin Road, which is located three miles north of Pond Creek.

Byrum was driving a 2013 Chevrolet pickup[when he went left of center and struck the over-sized load trailer of a 2019 International semi driven by Werner Schalk Smit, 22, of Toronto, South Dakota....
