OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) — A Kansas man has been charged with first-degree murder for a fatal shooting near a library.
Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe told the Kansas City Star that 27-year-old Overland Park resident Dvonte Brown was charged in the killing of Micah Babick, a 29-year-old from Prairie Village.
Babick was shot and killed Wednesday in an Overland Park parking lot by the Johnson County Central Resources Library, the newspaper reported.
Police arrested Brown for the killing on Saturday. The district attorney's office said Brown's bail was set at $1 million.
