Police ID woman arrested in Wichita home where body found

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A woman accused of holding police at bay for hours before emerging from a Wichita home where the body of a man was found has been charged with second-degree murder, police said.

The armed standoff began around noon Sunday when officers were sent to a convenience store for a report of a woman suspected of robbing it, police said in a news release Monday. Responding officers spotted the woman, later identified as 22-year-old Jessica Sanders, at a nearby intersection holding a gun.
