Dr. Phil Self's deployment delayed by pandemic

In February, Dr. Phil Self left his Alva medical practice in the capable hands of Steve Madrid, PA, for deployment to Afghanistan with the naval reserves. He expected to spend some time in orientation before the overseas trip, but that time has been extended by the pandemic. Here's his update:
"Greetings from Qatar. I left Oklahoma Feb. 17 and have been to Norfolk, Virginia; Camp Pendleton, California; and Fort Bliss, Texas, for various medical and soldier training.
"Forward movement has been delayed by the Covid-19 crisis and I am currently in 14-day quarantine at the Air Force Base in Qatar....
