Williams Cos.: 1Q Earnings Snapshot

 


TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Williams Cos. (WMB) on Monday reported a first-quarter loss of $517 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based company said it had a loss of 43 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 26 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 25 cents per share.

The pipeline operator posted revenue of $1.91 billion in the period.
