Alfalfa County courthouse closed until June 1

 


Last Friday, Alfalfa County commissioners (Jay Hague, Stan Tucker, and Marvin Woodall ) decided at their special meeting to leave courthouse doors closed to the public until Mon., June 1. The county's emergency manager, Shana Smallwood, told the men that the personal protective equipment supply (surgical masks and gloves) was replenished and readily available if they were needed. At this week's regular meeting, Woodall was absent, leaving Hague and Tucker to approve a motion opening the fairgrounds in Cherokee next weekend, May 30-31, for an outdoor play day event.
