City pays NWOSU spring scholarship invoice

The novel coronavirus caused a novel spring semester at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. Like all the state universities, NWOSU moved to online classes following spring break. Now that the semester has ended, the university presented the Alva City Council with the spring invoice for the Alva Incentive Scholarship Program.

The city council met at the Alva Recreation Complex in the Pete and Ruth Leslie Fieldhouse Monday evening to provide room for social distancing. Folding chairs were placed six feet apart across the gym floor for the large audience. Council members were seated a...
