Can Alva EMS continue as a city service?

A large crowd attended the Alva City Council meeting Monday, May 18, at the Alva Recreation Complex. Judging by the public comments, the hot topic attracting attention was a proposal to look at options for the city-run emergency medical service.

Mayor Kelly Parker opened the discussion, "We have truly one of the finest crews we could hope to have, very professional, very dedicated, and very well aware of the needs of the people of this community.
