Man wounded in shooting by 2 Kansas City, Kansas officers


KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — A man was hospitalized after being shot by two Kansas City, Kansas, police officers early Monday, police said.

The officers suffered minor injuries, police spokeswoman Nancy Chartrand said.

The officers were patrolling near an apartment complex when a combative, armed man approached them, she said. The officers shot the man during the confrontation but further details were not released.

The suspect, who has not been identified, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not released.
