Alva woman charged with witness harassment

 


The mother of a young man charged in a rape case has now been charged herself for harassment of a witness.

On June 3 in Woods County District Court, Theresa Gay Blalock, 56, of Alva, was charged with felony harassment of a witness. This crime is punishable by not less than one year nor more than ten years in the state penitentiary.

According to an affidavit filed in the case, District Attorney’s Investigator Steve Tanio learned that on May 14 the mother and father of the juvenile victim in the rape case reported that the victim was being followed around Alva by Theresa Blalock on multiple...
