Man charged in destruction of marijuana plants

 


An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who is alleged to have destroyed marijuana plants valued at $16,900.

On June 3 in Woods County, Michael Anthony Miko, 34, of Kent, Washington, was charged with malicious injury to property, a felony.

Miko is charged with maliciously destroying 129 marijuana plants that belonged to Joey and Julie Melton by knocking the plants over and/or breaking the stems at the base. The loss is valued at $16,900.

This crime is punishable by imprisonment in the state penitentiary for up to two years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or by both fine and imprisonment....
