Two charged with exploiting elderly person for over $35,000

 


Two people from Wakita are facing felony charges for the exploitation of an elderly person. They are alleged to have taken over $25,000 in addition for being liable for an estimated $10,000 damage to rental property.

Joy Renee George, 56, of Wakita, was charged June 4 in Alfalfa County with seven counts of exploitation of an elderly person by deception or intimidation. Kevin Wayne George, 60, of Wakita, has been charged with four felony counts of exploitation of an elderly person by deception or intimidation.
