Dacoma's Third of July Blowout

Kathleen Lourde

Top Row-Left: From left: Friends Jaelyn Shreebe, Presley Shramek and Kara Pace are resplendent in their patriotic finery at the Dacoma 3rd of July Blowout. Top Right: Logan Eades (left) and Zachary Thomas of Waynoka display their American and Trump flags from the tailgates of their pickups at the Dacoma 3rd of July Blowout Friday. Bottom Left: Like a number of area families, the Durkees (from left: Greg, Beau, Matt, Reese, Christy, Audrey and baby Nola) settled down at the town park in Dacoma to eat some good food and watch the kiddie trains, dunk tank, turtle races and other events at the Dacoma 3rd of July Blowout, which culminated in fireworks at dusk. Area folks at Dacoma's July 3rd Blowout line up to sample the chuckwagon-style food provided by Jim and Annie McGill. The couple, who ran McGill's Cafe in Waynoka, recently moved to Cleo Springs and are now focusing all their attention on their movable feasts.

Many people showed up to enjoy the Third of July at Dacoma. The fireworks brought a wonderful end to a great day.
