While we usually think of grief in terms of a death it can be more broadly defined as an emotion following a loss. During all the coronavirus pandemic restrictions, closings and cancellations, most of us have experienced losses. The biggest loss is predictability. Even during reopening in this part of the country, much remains undecided.

Many of last weekend’s 4th of July activities were scaled back. Some retail businesses are still seeing a slowdown in sales. The Nescatunga Arts Festival in Alva was postponed from June to Aug. 8. It appears there will be a Woods County Fair, but we’re not yet...
