Suspect in shooting of Kansas deputy found dead in home

 


CIMARRON, Kan. (AP) — A man suspected of shooting and wounding a Kansas sheriff's deputy has been discovered dead inside the home, authorities said Sunday.

Gray County sheriffs' deputies responding at about 10:50 p.m. Friday to a call of a domestic disturbance questioned two people who had exit the residence, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said in a news release. The deputies became concerned for the safety of the 49-year-old homeowner, Kevin Trahern, who was still inside.
