WOULDN'T BE A PARADE WITHOUT 'EM – The Barber County Shriners Firewagons Unit rides in their vintage firetruck in Hardtner's Fourth of July parade. Sitting in the passenger seat is Bill Watson and driving is Lynn Bell. Behind Watson are Willem Mostert and Mark Phillips (waving). On the other side of truck are Brandon Stoner and Buddy Williams.

FUN IN THE SUN – Left: Cousins Zoey Domnick of Missouri, Lynnon Humphrey of Kiowa, and Hayden Domnick of Attica find a cool spot on a scorching day in an inflatable pool in Achenbach Park during Hardtner's 4th of July celebration. Hardtner's large, beautiful swimming pool is closed this summer. Right: The Wenzel Brothers, Stanley and David and their mom of Kiowa, are a staple entry in area parades. Hardtner Fourth of July Parade emcee Sam Sterling graduated with Stanley in 1978 and remembers this hot Camaro.
