Judge: Guilty plea stands in Oklahoma workplace shooting

 


NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — A Cleveland County judge has rejected a man's request to withdraw his guilty plea in a workplace shooting in Norman that wounded two people, including the gunman.

Court records show the request by William Ray Adams, 57, was rejected Monday by District Judge Thad Balkman.

Adams' attorney, Michael Amend, said the ruling will be appealed.

Amend had pleaded guilty in January to kidnapping and weapons charges and was sentenced to 30 years for attempting in 2018 to abduct his estranged wife from Bergey Windpower, where she worked, and shooting and wounding a coworker who tried t...
