Financial help for Woods County ambulance services on Nov. ballot

Monday the Woods County Commissioners approved measures for possible financial relief for county emergency services. Their action will put the proposition on ballots for the Nov. 3 general election. In three separate votes, the commissioners passed a resolution and proposition for the ballot, an order authorizing the election and a notice to the county election board to put it on the ballot.

The proposition is to form what’s known as an EMS 522 District made up of all property in Woods County to provide funds for the emergency medical services or ambulance services in the county. The name come...
