Arrest announced in 2003 homicide in Kansas City suburb

WESTWOOD, Kan. (AP) — A man already in prison for one killing has been charged in the shooting death of a grocery store worker in suburban Kansas City in 2003, law enforcement authorities announced Thursday.

Eugene Clayton Keltner, 40, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of David "Ray" Ninemire at the store in Westwood, Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said.

Ninemire, 68, was shot and killed when he went to the aid of a co-worker during a robbery at the former Westwood Apple Market, police said. Witnesses said the robber wore a disguise that made him look Amish or like...
