ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Police have arrested a 24-year-old man they say ran over and killed a woman in a stolen RV in the Albuquerque area.

The Albuquerque Journal reported that the Bernalillo County Sheriff's office arrested Santos Garcia on suspicion of murder, aggravated battery and other crimes related to the May death of 48-year-old Zinnia Sillivent.

Sillivent's body was found in the street in the North Valley area. Her body was badly bruised and scraped with tire marks across her legs.

Investigators say a male acquaintance of the woman reported Garcia had admitted to running her over, saying he told the man that he was going to "smack her around for smarting off" when she fell out of the RV and he ran her over.

Deputies in June found surveillance footage in the area showing Garcia driving the RV with Sillivent in the passenger seat shortly before honking, a crash and screams can be heard.

It is unclear if Garcia has an attorney. He does not have a publicly listed phone number where someone could be reached to comment on his behalf.

Garcia is expected to face an additional charged after deputies reported he had 33 grams of methamphetamine with him when he was arrested.
