Cherokee man charged in domestic altercation

A Cherokee man is charged with felony domestic abuse after a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend.

On Sept. 9 in Alfalfa County, Allen Joe Schneeberger, 33, of Cherokee, was charged with domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor, a felony. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for not less than six months nor more than one year and/or by a fine of up to $5,000. Schneeberger is alleged to have committed assault and battery upon Kymberil Michelle Hamil in the presence of their minor son.
