Modern maintenance

For the last 40 years, improvements (changes) in automobiles have taken them from maintenance little more complex than a lawn mower to a rolling computer with more technology than the first lunar lander.

While some people forgo service until the oil is black and a quart low, it still makes sense to plan on some expenses besides fuel. There is satisfaction in knowing that most late models will indicate when service is needed and then there is the dreaded “check engine” light.
