Homecoming preparation is in full swing

The Alva Goldbugs will play at home against Newkirk on Friday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. on the NWOSU football field. Students at Alva High School will showcase their Goldbug spirit as they prepare for this year's homecoming.

Homecoming festivities begin Sept. 24 with the Homecoming Bonfire. Students will meet at the swimming pool at 7:45 p.m., and then walk to the firefighting training area at 8 p.m.

On Sept. 25, Alva's Homecoming Parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. around Alva's downtown square followed by the pep rally at 3 p.m.

Coronation of the football king and queen will take place at 6:30 p.m. on the Ranger Field before the 7 p.m. kickoff. Football queen candidates from the senior class are Adjany Antonio,...
