After five years of supporting the Ride for Hatfield Park, the Alva Tourism Tax Committee chose not to provide funding this year. At the meeting Wednesday, Chairman Norville Ritter explained the committee has decided to focus support on events that actually bring people to Alva. Committee members believe this event is mainly for a small number of local participants.
