Burlington School News: Rhonda Pinkston's fight against cancer

Caleb Cox, Burlington senior, is pictured with Burlington "lunch lady" Rhonda Pinkston.

Beloved cafeteria cook Rhonda Pinkston started working at Burlington School in 2018. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019. It is an extremely rare form of cancer.

The people who helped her go through her procedure were her sisters in the Kansas City area; one of them was on the phone with her almost every day. She also talked to her dad a lot. Her boyfriend, Lloyd, took her to each one of her doctor appointments. Her church also helped her.

For her appointments, she went to Enid at Saint Mary's Cancer Center for chemo and Bass Hospital for radiatio...
