Alva School Board approves plan to renovate art building

During their regular meeting Monday, the Alva Board of Education learned the cost for renovations to the art building at the high school. In addition to the basic bid, they decided on three alternates from among seven possible choices. The total cost of the project is estimated at $894,079.

Paul Kyler said he was "pleasantly surprised" with the number of bidders. They talked with the low bidders before coming up with expected prices for the base and alternate bids.
