Record coronavirus hospitalizations reported in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The number of people hospitalized either with the coronavirus or under investigation for infection was at a record high on Friday, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

There were 793 people hospitalized as the number of hospitalizations have increased since first surpassing 700 on Oct 7, according to the department.

The health department also reported 1,472 new cases and 11 more deaths due to COVID-19, the illness caused by the disease.
