Alva City Council to hold hearing on possible public nuisance properties

A public hearing on three properties will be held during the Alva City Council meeting Monday. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.
The properties in question are the Alva Salvage, LLC at 1313 Fair, the property at 1208 Fair owned by James and Cleo Scribner, and the property at 1002 Church owned by Marc Wallace. The hearing is to determine if those locations should be declared a public nuisance and constituting a detriment or a hazard. Property owners have been notified by certified mail about the hearing.
