Wheatland Republican Women learn about Woods County EMS 522 District

The Wheatland Republican Women met at noon on Oct. 7 at The Runnymede in Alva. Julie Dennis, head of Alva EMS, and Angelica Brady, Alva city manager, presented the program on the proposed Woods County Emergency Medical Services 522 District. A county question will appear on the Nov. 4 ballot asking if the citizens of Woods County wish to form a county-wide EMS District that will levy an annual 3-mill ad valorem tax for the purpose of providing ambulance coverage to the entire county.
