Oklahoma COVID-19 hospitalizations remain high

The number of hospitalizations due to the coronavirus dipped on Sunday but still remained high as the number of reported cases increased by 796 and deaths rose by 3, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

There were a reported 715 people hospitalized, the department said, 78 fewer than the one-day record of 793 reported Friday. There are 107,299 total cases reported since the pandemic began in March and 1,171 deaths due to COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus.
