Burlington School students back in class Monday

October 21, 2020

A phone call to the Burlington Public School Monday afternoon found that the school was humming along as usual with students and teachers in classrooms. The school had been closed to in-class learning nearly two weeks due to some staff members having COVID-19.

School secretary Tracy Granados said the Burlington Board of Education October meeting planned for Monday night was canceled, as not all the people that needed to attend could be there, including Superintendent Dr. Stacey Croft. The board will meet Thursday for a special meeting to conduct their October business.

Board President Terry Graham said some people are still finishing their quarantine time. He said that in the past two weeks there has been distance learning for students and packets sent home for the younger elementary kids.
