Funeral services for Peggy Jo Mackey will be 3 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the Alva First Baptist Church with Pastor Derrick Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Due to the current COVID situation, the service will be for family only. It will be live streamed on the Marshall Funeral Home Facebook page.

Peggy Jo Mackey, daughter of the late Frank Louis and Bernice Lillian (Davis) Seeger, was born October 1, 1934, and passed away October 19, 2020, at the age of 86 years and 18 days.

Peggy graduated from Rosston High School and attended college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. On August 16, 1975, she was united in marriage to Lee Mackey at Alva, Oklahoma. She worked as a secretary at Alva State Bank, Alva Public Schools and Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge, dancing, traveling, and being with friends and family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim; one brother, Bill; and one sister Patsy.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Lee, of Alva; one son, Mike Mackey of Alva; three daughters, Lynda Culbertson and husband, Greg, of Frisco, Texas, Marcia Martin and husband, Mike, of Alva, and Dana Foote and husband, Tim, of Texico, New Mexico; and her daughter-in-law Michele Mackey of Alva.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Mackey Culbertson and wife Tanner, Brady Culbertson, Cori Culbertson (all of Frisco, Texas), Connor Martin and fiancée Cari, Reygan Martin, Reece Martin (all of Alva), Garrett Foote and wife Megan (of Texico, New Mexico), Lindsey Foote (of Lubbock, Texas), Colby Mackey, Mackinze Mackey and Cade Mackey (all of Alva); a brother-in-law, Troy O'Hair (of Edmond); niece Terri Ritterhouse (of Edmond); great-niece Dr. Lauren Casariego, her husband David, and their children Oliver and Evelyn (of Boston); nephew Jim Seeger-Newby; other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimer research or the Share Medical Center Foundation.
