1 John 4:17-19 has some interesting words to read that are appropriate for where we are as a community, state and nation. Here is what John says (just in case you do not have a Bible handy), “In this, love is perfected with us so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, for we are as He is in the world. There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment (torment). So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love. We love because He first loved us.”
