Storm brings much-needed moisture

According to OG&E, as of 8 a.m. Thursday power had been restored for more than 140,000 customers in Oklahoma following the Oct. 26 ice storm. But as of 8 a.m. Thursday, 244,000 were still without power. OG&E has more than 2,600 restoration personnel in the field.

In northwest Oklahoma, the storm brought less ice but residents have dealt with sleet and snow accumulations. With temperatures rising above freezing, the precipitation turned to rain on Wednesday, melting the frozen accumulation.
