She passed away at home in Alva, Oklahoma, on October 26, 2020, at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 19 days old.

Cheryl was born in Santa Monica, California. She graduated from Chatsworth High School, Class of 1972. She earned her associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Shasta College in Redding, California, in 2002.
