Alva Middle School students move to distance learning

Alva Middle School (AMS) is transitioning to distance learning beginning Monday, Nov. 9, due to an increase in COVID-19 cases. All other students will continue attending school as normal. Superintendent Tim Argo said AMS plans to resume its regular schedule a week later on Nov. 16.
Middle school students are expected to attend class periods in Google Meet just as they would in person. Attendance will be recorded as normal. If a student is too ill to participate online, a parent will need to call the office just as they would for in-person classes.
