The Woods County EMS 522 District Task Force spoke at many meeting over several months to explain how the district would benefit the three county emergency medical services. The hard work paid off on Nov. 3 when election totals showed the measure passing 2,089 to 1,523.

“Tuesday night was the most nervous but excited I have been on Election Day ever. I am beyond thankful that the citizens of Woods County heard our plea and responded with passing the proposition in all 6 precincts,” said Julie M. Dennis, director of the Alva Ambulance Service.
