Press freedom group launches pro bono initiative in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A group that supports freedom of the press by offering free legal services to journalists announced Monday its plans to launch an initiative in Oklahoma to help local investigative and enterprise journalism.
The Washington, D.C.-based Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press said in a press release that Oklahoma lawyer KatieBeth Gardner has joined the group as its local attorney.
Gardner will provide pro bono legal support to journalists and news organizations reporting in communities across the state.
