WASHINGTON, D.C. – The number of weekly new Covid cases in nursing homes in the U.S. hit a record high this month, and the cause is community spread among the general population. That's according to a report released today by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), a national nonprofit organization representing nursing homes and assisted living communities providing care to approximately five million people each year.
