Alva Middle School Students of the Month

The teachers at Alva Middle have selected Teagan Cook and Pryce Williams, eighth grade; Katelee Martin and Nathen Rogers, seventh grade; and Bailey Clepper and Tripp Cole, sixth grade, as AMS Students of the Month for October.

Teagan Cook is in eighth grade and is the daughter of Wendi Cook and John Cook. Her grandparents are Donnie and Delores Hubbart, and Donald and Carol Cook. Her favorite classes are math, reading and band. She is involved in academic meets and quiz bowl. In the future, she would like to be an optometrist.

Pryce Williams is in eighth grade and is the son of Kimberly Williams. His grandparents are Beverly Cox, and Hollis and Laura Lamkin.

Katelee Martin is in seventh grade and is the daughter of Kent and Konya Martin. Her grandparents are Charlene and David Keller, Robin and Eddie Dunn, Winona Newlin, and Marvin Junker. Her favorite classes are math and band. She is involved in student council, FCCLA, TSA, band, 4-H, Graceful Arts acrylic painting, academic team, Alva Wesleyan Youth Group. She holds the office of Philanthropic Chair in student council, and is junior president in 4-H. In the future she would like to be a psychologist. Additionally, she wants everyone to know “You are loved!”


Nathen Rogers is in seventh grade and is the son of Tacia Jamison and Steve Rogers. His grandparents are Larry and Dana Rogers, and Andra and Don Smith. His favorite classes are science and gym. In the future he would like to be either a video game designer or a marine biologist.


Bailey Clepper is in sixth grade and is the daughter of Jay and Amanda Clepper. Her grandparents are Vicke and David Clepper, and Russel and Linda Erickson. Her favorite classes are social studies and basketball. She also plays for the Alva Arrows softball team and plays second base. In the future she would like to become a veterinarian. Additionally, she really loves llamas and hopes one day to get one.

Tripp Cole is in sixth grade and is the son of Chelsey and Levi Shipley, and Travis Cole. His grandparents are Raymond Cole, Jodi Cole, Bret Rider, and Valerie Rider. His favorite classes are history and basketball. He is involved in student council, football and basketball. In the future he would like to be a saddle bronc rider in the rodeo circuit.

These students received lunch provided by Gambino’s Pizza as an extension of the AMS Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Program implemented in the Alva Public Schools. The Students of the Month Program at AMS is sponsored and organized by Kandee Almgren.
