Classes dismissed Friday for a week-long Thanksgiving break at Alva Public Schools and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The number of active Covid-19 cases in Alva, as reported by the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), remains high at 154 on Saturday. The weekly NWOSU report on active cases decreased from 44 to 29 Friday including 28 students and one employee among the three campuses at Alva, Enid and Woodward.
