Alva School Board hires new pre-K teacher

Alva School Board members voted to offer a temporary contract to Riley Beeler as a pre-K teacher. Beeler will be finishing out the school year in place of Megan Schulze, who is moving with her family.
Superintendent Tim Argo also announced the retirement of Ruth Zwiefelhofer, custodian at Longfellow Elementary School. She will be retiring at the end of the school year. "I just want to thank Ruth. She has been a longtime employee here and has really meant a lot to us," he said. She'll be honored with the rest of the retirees in the spring.
