With Alva High School basketball games cancelled this week (Tuesday at Blackwell and the weekend Granite tournament), local sports fan might want to plan for some fine football action Saturday. The Timberlake Tigers will be playing for the state Class C football championship against Tyrone. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. at Ranger Stadium on the NWOSU campus in Alva.

Prior to the game, the Waynoka football team will be honored as academic state champs for Class C.
